This week I'm so grateful for my parents. They have been away for three weeks and it has really reminded me how amazing their support is. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well I have two children and two step-children ... luckily I also have incredible parents!
I'm also grateful to Maxabella for this great idea!
Hi Vic
ReplyDeleteMy parents are about to leave for 3 weeks holiday. I'm dreading it! Who's going to do my ironing & provide a welcome distraction for the rug rats?
Like the name of your blog. I'm pretty new at this too. Come by and visit sometime :)
Oh it is so awful, and Wild Man asked me every day when they were coming home and kept wanting to send them postcards that said "Come back. I'm bored without you!".
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more. Although my parents are elderly and don't help me out with the kids that much, from time to time they take care of "Popette" for an hour so I can do my errands. I am very grateful to have them in my life. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is just the example they have given, for a few calm words in a hectic day, isn't it. i really feel for people who don't have that kind of support.
DeleteYor parents are equally lucky to have such a grateful daughter. Many grandies are unfortunately taken for granted. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Maxabella x
DeleteSo lucky to have parents around, mine are a whole country away, would love a little more of their loving and help.
ReplyDeleteI really feel for you Kirsty, i'm so lucky that mine are so close.
DeleteI missed my mother in law for the last two weeks too, so glad that she's back with us, and so grateful to have all my family close to me most of the time.
ReplyDeleteIt is when they are away that you really realise how much it means that they are usually there! Thanks for dropping by Kylie : )
